About: The Iowa Flood Center (IFC) is hosting a group from Texas made up of state agency represenatives, academics and researchers, elected officials, and water resource professionals who are interested in visiting Iowa to learn more about our state’s collaborative initiatives to improve flood monitoring and prediction capabilities in Iowa and develop strategies to mitigate floods. The goal of the two-day meeting is to provide Texas with a framework for how they might adapt similar flood mitigation strategies.
