I received my BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 2019 and graduated with my MS degree in Civil Engineering from UW-Madison in 2021. Currently, I am a first year PhD student in Civil Engineering here at Iowa. My research focuses on the economic impacts of flooding, whether through flood insurance or federal assistance programs. I am very excited about interdisciplinary research that combines hydrological engineering with social science to understand how natural hazards will affect particular communities in the future. A fun fact about me: I have completed an ultramarathon and am avid gravel and mountain biker, trail runner, and Nordic skier!
