Much of my work focuses on developing, building, and deploying new instrumentation for the Iowa Flood Center. As a student working with IIHR Research Engineer Anton Kruger, I was part of the development team that created a new economical stream-stage sensor. I am also part of a team developing a network of rain gauge, soil moisture, and soil temperature sensors to help provide additional information used in flood forecasting. I received BS, MS, and PhD degrees in electrical and computer engineering, all from the University of Iowa.
