Iowa Sustainability Planning Workshop
The group 1000 Friends of Iowa presents “Planning Iowa Sustainability—Building on What We Have.” This all-day event at the Historic Hotel Pattee in Perry, Iowa, will focus on sustainable development. Workshop sessions will include smart planning for small cities, green infrastructure, funding opportunities, and regional planning.
Iowa Flood Center Director Witold Krajewski will lead a session about Iowa’s changing weather patterns and the impacts they may have on community decisions.
This event is sponsored by 1000 Friends of Iowa, in partnership with the Iowa Department of Public Health, Rebuild Iowa Office, Transition Des Moines, Iowa League of Cities, and Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.
