The Iowa Flood Center recently published a newsletter featuring the IFC’s activities and research in the last year, the IFC Update, to raise awareness of the center’s research, service to Iowans, and flood readiness tools. It’s part of an ever-expanding effort to make sure Iowans know that they don’t have to face flooding alone — the Iowa Flood Center has developed easily accessible online tools that offer reliable information about flood conditions hours or days in advance.
“Flood preparedness is an investment that pays off,” says IFC Director Witold Krajewski. “The tools and strategies we developed after 2008 have left Iowans and our communities in a better state of readiness for future floods.”
