Watershed Model Demonstration

The Norman Borlaug Heritage Farm is hosting "Inspire Day" on September 21 for 5th grade students. The event gives students a chance to learn about agriculture, science, social studies, and the environment. Iowa Flood Center staff will be in attendance to teach kids about watersheds and how land use changes impact flooding, as well as will demonstrate one of their state-of-the-art rain gauges that collects real-time data displayed on the Iowa Flood Information System (http://ifis.iowafloodcenter.org/ifis/en/).
