Thanks to the Iowa legislature’s leadership and foresight in creating the Iowa Flood Center in 2009, Iowans have access to the latest technology and resources to help them prepare for floods and become more resilient to their effects. The center’s outward-facing philosophy focuses on providing direct services to benefit the people of Iowa.
IFC students, staff, and researchers will host their annual legislative breakfast reception on Wednesday, March 25 from 7-9 am at the Iowa State Capitol building (room 116). Legislators and partners are invited to attend a light breakfast and visit with IFC experts about innovative projects providing a direct benefit to help Iowans understand and reduce their flood risk.
