Marian Muste

Research Engineer and Adjunct Professor

I am a research engineer with IIHR—Hydroscience & Engineering and adjunct professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Iowa. My college education includes M.Sc. (from Polytechnic Institute Cluj – Romania, and University of Iowa) and PhD from University of Iowa. My research interests related to floods include river monitoring (from data acquisition to estimation methods and strategies for discharge monitoring), uncertainty analysis, and cyberinfrastructure-based watershed data and information systems.

Among the synergistic activities related to floods are those related with my involvement as an expert with UNESCO’s International Hydrologic Program and World Meteorological Organization Commission for Hydrology projects.
