Anton Kruger

Associate Professor

I am a native of South Africa and a research engineer at IIHR and the Iowa Flood Center. I am also a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Iowa. I came to the University of Iowa for a PhD in engineering, and after graduation, I accepted a position at IIHR.

I work primarily with the water and air resources group, but also on instrumentation for a variety of research projects. I was part of the Iowa Flood Center project to develop cost-efficient stream stage sensors — 100 of these sensors are now installed on bridges around the state.
