Daniel HornaPhD Student
I am pursuing a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering, specifically in the Hydraulics and Water Resources program. I am currently a student at IIHR—Hydroscience and Engineering and of the Iowa Flood Center, where I work with Professor Constantinescu in computational fluid dynamics. My current project is the development of a new 3D code that will be used for simulating flood propagation.
I am originally from Lima, Peru, but I obtained my BS in Civil Engineering in the University of Kansas. I obtained my MS in Civil Engineering, with a designation in Environmental Fluid Mechanics and Hydrology at Stanford University. My research interests are computational fluid dynamics and environmental hydraulics.
