Managing DirectorI am managing director of the Iowa Flood Center, and director of development and communication at IIHR—Hydroscience & Engineering. I came to this position from the National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library in Cedar Rapids. I hold BS and MS degrees in geology, as well as an MBA, all from the University of Iowa.
In my role at the IFC, I manage the non-research aspects of the center’s day-to-day operation. This includes grant writing, student and employee recruitment, communications, outreach, media relations, and more.
