Andrew Roers

GIS Analyst

My role at the Iowa Flood Center is as a GIS Analyst for the Flood Plain Mapping project. I received my BA in Geology from Cornell College in June 2012.  My work at the IFC involves utilizing a wide variety of datasets and sources to create maps utilizing the ArcGIS suite. Other interests relating to this project involve Python scripting, data analysis, as well as developing a greater understanding of regulations and standards pertaining to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
