The Big Splash! is a free celebration of the accomplishments and history of IIHR—Hydroscience & Engineering, Hancher auditorium, and the University of Iowa. IIHR celebrated their centennial in 2020, but due to the global pandemic, festivities were pushed back. Moving the celebration to 2022 allows the IIHR celebrations to line up with the University of Iowa's 175th birthday and means the celebration's about to get a whole lot bigger!
