Inspire Day at the Norman Borlaug Farm

Iowa Flood Center staff will join "Inspire Day" at the Norman Borlaug Farm near Cresco, IA. The IFC will talk about their rain gauge platform deployed at the farm and will demonstrate the Iowa Flood Information System (IFIS) online tool that provides real-time information on watersheds, precipitation, flood alerts, and stream conditions for more than 1,000 communities and locations across Iowa.

Midwest Big Data Hackathon

Midwest Big Data Hackathon is a 2-day non-stop hackathon with 150 participants, and it will be held at University of Iowa in the Iowa Memorial Union Ballroom. The event is open to all university students that have a passion for creating things with technology! Students will form teams of up to 4 members to work on their project or 'hack'.
