Educating a New Generation

Research at the Iowa Flood Center depends on talented students who collaborate with faculty and researchers. More than 20 University of Iowa students, from undergraduates to PhD candidates, are currently involved in the IFC’s work. Students receive hands-on training and expertise spanning a variety of academic disciplines to prepare them for the complex problems in Iowa and throughout the world.

Iowa Flood Center Graduates

Recruiting and training talented graduate and undergraduate students to collaborate with faculty is key to the Iowa Flood Center’s success. Student research, including thesis and dissertation topics, contributes directly to the ongoing research at the Center as well as prepares students for both academic and non-academic careers.
